Browns Shack

  • £114/Per Night

Description

Browns Shack provides a cosy, rustic retreat nestled in a small wooded area. It offers a double bed, electric heating, an en-suite compost toilet, and mains-supplied hot water for quick showers. The kitchenette, located under the eaves, includes a sink, portable hot plate, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, cutlery, crockery, and a small fridge. Outdoors, a BBQ unit and fire bowl are available on the deck with an initial fuel supply provided.

Accessible via a sloping walkway from the driveway, the property is situated in a former marl pit. It is shared with Browns Shepherd Hut guests, each having distinct areas and fire bowls. The ‘tree house’ viewing platform at the back offers scenic views and is shared between both cabins.

Wi-Fi is available but tends to be weak or spotty. The property accepts one well-behaved dog, provided it’s on a lead; cats are not allowed. Non-staying guests are prohibited, and the practice of frequent or large fires is discouraged.

Surrounded by fields, the property is home to sheep, cattle, dogs, and rescue horses. Located conveniently off the A21, it is a short walk to Robertsbridge village with various amenities. Attractions in 1066 Country are easily accessible by car, including Battle Abbey, Bodiam Castle, and Pashley Manor Gardens.

Guests should respect the resident wildlife and other guests by maintaining appropriate noise levels and avoiding feeding or disturbing the animals. Eco-friendly products are provided and should be used. Outdoor entertainment such as loud music or cinema is not permitted.

Horse-guided therapy sessions can be arranged by appointment.
