Description

The cabin is nestled in a secluded location with picturesque views of farmland, horse paddocks, and the surrounding countryside. Numerous footpaths nearby offer a 10-minute walk to the ancient Postlebury Woods or a small, aesthetic lake. A perfect retreat for those returning from exploring the Roman city of Bath or after a tranquil walk, the cabin offers a warm meal and the opportunity to roast marshmallows over an outdoor firepit.

The largely off-grid cabin features a separate private bathroom area with a gas shower and composting toilet. It is equipped with a gas stove for cooking and essential utensils. Lighting and small device charging are powered by a power pack, though it cannot support high-powered appliances such as a fridge or electric kettle. Instead, guests can use a traditional singing kettle over the gas stove and a coolbox for perishable items.

One of the cabin’s standout features is its large surround windows that provide panoramic countryside views, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of a king-size bed. While there is no WiFi, excellent phone reception ensures guests remain connected as needed, promoting a balanced immersion in nature and a break from daily bustle.

Equestrian guests are welcome to bring horses, with facilities including field and woodland hacking, quiet country road access, a 30 by 50 sand school with jumps, and cross-country jumps ranging from 70cm to 90cm. Enquiries for more information are encouraged.

What We Love:

We love the breathtaking countryside views, nearby ancient woods and lake, cozy firepit evenings, essential off-grid amenities, panoramic windows, and a blend of nature and relaxation.
