Shropshire, Shropshire, England
Hill Farm is a recently built shepherd's hut on an operational cattle farm in rural Shropshire, seven miles from Shrewsbury and within reach of the market towns of Ellesmere and Whitchurch. Constructed in 2023 with natural materials, it sits at the end of a long drive surrounded by fields, with views stretching to the Welsh hills. At under £80 per night, it is one of the more affordable entries in the shepherd's hut category.
The outdoor space is well thought through, with a covered BBQ area, bar stools, bench seating, and a darts board. Views from the seating area reach towards Snowdonia at sunset. Footpaths and bridleways from the door lead to Corbet Wood and the Shropshire Way, making this a practical base for walking without needing to drive to a trailhead. EV charging is available on site.
We love the price point. Under £80 a night for a well built hut with Snowdonia sunset views and direct access to the Shropshire Way is hard to argue with.
Guests appreciated their stay at the Shepard's Hut, praising its private, peaceful location and stunning views. They found Louise notably helpful, particularly with the oven. Many expressed a desire to return.
