Tregarne, Cornwall, England
Hope's Cabin sits in a private corner of the owners' grounds near Tregarne on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula. Floor to ceiling glass doors run almost the full width of the cabin, creating a bright, airy interior that opens directly onto an expansive deck. A copper bath on a slate plinth occupies one end of the open plan space, while underfloor heating and a log burner keep the cabin comfortable year round. The small garden is screened by bamboo and greenery for privacy.
The Lizard Peninsula is Cornwall's most southerly point, with a wilder, less commercialised coastline than the north. The outdoor shower is a characterful addition that suits the setting. The cabin's design leans towards indoor outdoor living: when the full width doors are open, the deck effectively doubles the living space. It is a compact stay that feels larger than its footprint through good glazing decisions and an honest use of materials.
We love the copper bath on the slate plinth. It anchors the interior with a material richness that elevates the whole space beyond typical cabin design.
Reviews praised Hope's Cabin as an incredible find, highlighting great value, responsive hosts, and exceptional service, with many recommending it wholeheartedly.
