About this stay

Rectory Farm Hideaway is a purpose built log cabin in a south facing meadow in the Cotswolds, close to Blenheim Palace and Kelmscott Manor, with Oxford and Cheltenham both within easy reach. The cabin is solar powered and deliberately off grid, with no WiFi. For some, that will be a limitation. For others, it is the entire point.

The eco credentials are genuine rather than cosmetic: electricity is weather dependent and the emphasis is on wood fired warmth, with a log burner inside and a wood fired hot tub available at extra cost. Walking and cycling access to the Cotswold Way is immediate. At 664 reviews and a 4.93 rating, this is one of the more battle tested tiny stays in the region, proving that low tech done well holds strong appeal.

What we love

We love the commitment to off grid living. No WiFi, solar dependent power, and a wood fired hot tub under open sky. It does not try to be everything, and is better for it.
