The Railwayman's

About this stay

A former railwayman's hut in the Kent AONB, restored and fitted out with granite worktops, a butler's sink, underfloor heated en suite, and an interior designed to feel spacious while retaining the proportions of the original structure. A natural swimming pond measuring 80 metres by 20 metres and surrounding forest walks make the outdoor space as much a feature as the hut itself.

A flawless 5.0 rating from 231 reviews makes this one of the highest rated tiny stays in the South East. At £139 per night, it sits in the mid range for Kent glamping, but the swimming pond and the quality of the interior finish push it above most competitors. Hot air balloon flights are available as an add on for those looking to see the Kent countryside from a different angle.

What we love

We love the swimming pond. An 80 by 20 metre natural pool is not something most hut stays can offer, and it transforms this from a nice hut into a destination.
