The Woods is a design led cabin set within mature woodland in Essex, just a 20 minute walk from Sawbridgeworth station and 40 minutes by train from central London. Floor to ceiling glazing runs through the entire structure, pulling the tree canopy inside and giving the space a quality of light that most tiny stays in the South East cannot match. The fit out is sharp: oak flooring, a properly spec'd kitchen with induction hob and Nespresso, and 400 thread count cotton sheets.
The outdoor cast iron bath is the signature feature, set among the trees with hot water on tap. It is a cabin that takes its design seriously without tipping into pretension, and the proximity to London transport links makes it viable for a midweek overnight as much as a weekend trip. At this price point in the South East, the combination of woodland privacy and high spec finish is hard to beat.
