Who we are
Home of Tiny is an independent directory of tiny homes, cabins, and small-space stays in the UK. The site is operated from the United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected].
The newsletter
If you sign up for the Home of Tiny newsletter, we collect your email address. We ask you to tick a box to confirm you want it, so the only thing we hold is an email address you chose to give us. The lawful basis is your consent.
We use your email for one thing: to send you the newsletter you signed up for. We will not sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. Every email we send will have a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also email us at [email protected] to be removed at any time.
Signups are stored in our own newsletter system, which runs on a server hosted in the European Union. We keep your address only for as long as you stay subscribed. When we send the newsletter, the emails are delivered through a third-party email provider; we will name it here at that point.
What we collect
We try to keep this short.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, where visitors come from, and how the directory performs. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on Google's servers. It tells us about traffic in aggregate, not who you are. You can read how Google handles this data in Google's privacy policy, and you can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with a tracker-blocking extension.
- Outbound clicks. When you click through to a listing on a third-party site (a builder, holiday let platform, or retailer), that site sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy. We have no control over those.
- Pinterest. We post content to a Pinterest profile (homeoftiny). If you engage with our pins, Pinterest applies its own privacy policy. We use Pinterest's API to read aggregate performance data about our own account. We do not receive personal information about individual Pinterest users.
What we do not do
- We do not run advertising on the site.
- We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not require an account, and there is no login.
- We do not add you to the newsletter unless you ask to be added.
If you email us, we will keep your message and reply. We use that information only to respond to you. We will not add you to any marketing list.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
