This secluded retreat is surrounded by mature trees and situated alongside a tranquil branch railway line, where trains from Truro to Falmouth run quietly twice an hour from 7 am to 11 pm.

Emphasising eco-living, the tiny cabin features clay plaster walls and cork flooring, with lighting and windows strategically placed to maximise natural outlooks. The living space includes a small kitchen equipped with essential amenities for simple meals and a bathroom with a Japanese-style sit-up bath that adapts to a shower. Designed for efficiency, storage is maximised with light oak cupboards and reused slate composite counters, creating a health-conscious, non-toxic environment.

The private, separate cabin is accessed via a wooden deck. The pull-out double sofa bed comes with a cosy memory foam topper. Guests can enjoy a peaceful view of the nearby footpath and tree bank, overlooking the slow-moving railway line, which adds to the rural ambiance. Friendly lodgers in the main house respect guests’ privacy.

Amenities include free parking for one car in front of the black shed and careful instructions for after-dark arrivals. Note that the clay walls may result in more dust particles, a natural characteristic. Pets are welcome with conditions, excluding marmots.
