This private, exclusive retreat located at the Cheshire/Shropshire/Staffordshire border offers tranquillity and seclusion, nestled 100 yards from the host’s home. The snug, ideal for couples and small families, offers a charming wooden structure with Hobbit-like round windows and doors. It features two rooms: a cosy lounge with a recliner sofa and a bedroom with a small double bed, accessible through a round hole with curtains for privacy. Outdoors, a rustic hut contains the toilet, shower, and sink.

While there’s no WiFi to ensure a stress-free experience, a TV with a fluctuating signal and a DVD player are provided. Relax by the log fire, toast marshmallows, or use the provided barbecue and kitchen facilities, including a fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster. In the summer (April-September), guests can enjoy an undercover gazebo with a Ninja Woodfire electric BBQ Grill & Smoker, as well as additional cooking equipment.

The snug’s location is perfect for exploring the region, with many walking paths, local attractions, and excellent pubs nearby. However, a car is essential due to the remote setting, especially in winter when parking may be a short walk from the retreat due to ground conditions. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, and semi-skimmed milk are provided, with alternatives available upon request. Note that the snug is unsuitable for those with mobility issues, as there are steps and round doors to navigate. Pets are not allowed due to the presence of the hosts’ dogs.

Guests are asked to be respectful of the environment, avoid using candles inside, and supervise children due to the nature of the hut. A strict checkout time of 11am is enforced.
