The Tabernacle is a unique Shepherd’s hut nestled among oak trees, wildflowers, and ferns, offering a tranquil escape. Located just five minutes from the North Cornish coastline, it provides an ideal base for exploring Cornwall and Devon. Inside, the hut features a cosy double bed under a stained-glass window, a pot belly stove, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob and grill, Belfast sink, and a small fridge with an ice box. A gas boiler supplies hot water to the shower, wash basin, and kitchen sink. The shower room includes a waterfall shower, wash basin, and compost toilet.

The Tabernacle operates on 12v solar power and has USB charging points for mobile phones. Guests can rise to the sound of songbirds, enjoy the afternoon sun on the patio, and relax in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars. It’s important to note that the lane leading to the hut is a bumpy farm track, unsuitable for low-slung cars. Alternative parking is available nearby, with a five-minute walk to the hut.

Guests may encounter various animals during their stay, and the phone signal can be variable in the area, with some finding no signal inside the Tabernacle. There is no oven available.
